How do I request a copy of my Reddit data and information?

• [ ] Download the file (make a folder called Reddit in your Downloads folder, it’ll make the next step easier). While you wait for this data to arrive, you can get a list of your subs already.

• [ ] Follow these instructions. You can copy paste your subreddit list somewhere for safekeeping. Use the subreddit names to search the Fediverse later.

List & export your subreddits

• [ ] Unzip your reddit data, you should get a bunch of CSV files. Open the ones that say ‘saved posts’ and ‘saved comments’.

• [ ] Get JDownloader

• [ ] Open JDownloader
• [ ] In the Settings, set the download location to your reddit folder. Close settings.
• [ ] Go to the ‘Fetch links’ tab
• [ ] Copy paste the links from the CSV file into JDownloader
• [ ] Wait for it to load (might take a while, mine took over 20 minutes)
